LearningRx improved reading and school performance for third grader
Name: Morgan R.
LearningRx Center: Shreveport, LA
Chief Concerns: reading struggles, homework struggles
Real-life Improvements: improved reading skills, no longer dislikes school or homework, doing well in high school 6 years later!
LearningRx would like to give a huge “shout out” to Morgan from Shreveport, LA. When he was in 3rd grade, Morgan attended LearningRx to help with reading struggles. His mom could tell beginning in kindergarten that Morgan was struggling in school and his teachers thought he might have dyslexia. Homework was a nightly struggle, and Morgan’s mom didn’t realize how difficult reading was for him. They sought out help from LearningRx in addition to what the school offered for dyslexia. Once the program began, Morgan’s attitude towards school started to change and he loved to read! Once he completed the program, Morgan had improved by “leaps and bounds” in school and was on the honor roll! Now a freshman in high school, Morgan is able to make the most of his tutoring hours and the information he learns “just clicks” for him. He now loves to read and does much better in school. He can read out loud and do his homework “without throwing a fit.” Morgan also sees the way that brain training has helped him with his favorite hobby, sailing: he is able to pay attention and plan better than he would have without LearningRx. Way to go, Morgan! We are so proud of you.
