LearningRx Student Reviews Brain Training 10 Years Later: From Struggling Reader to College Bound

Do Brain Training Results Last? High School Senior headed to College 10 years after Brain Training program designed to improve reading skills

Name: Elle R.

LearningRx Center: Eagan, Savage, Woodbury, Maple Grove, Chanhassen, Shoreview, St. Louis Park, Minnesota

Chief Concerns: as a third grader, Elle’s mom was told not to expect Elle to ever be able to read

Real-life Improvements: 4 years reading improvement, able to tackle any school subject, heading to college for Theater and Music

LearningRx would like to give a huge “shout out” to Elle from Minnesota. Elle went through a LearningRx brain training program as a third grader, when she was struggling with reading. Elle’s mom was told that it was an “unrealistic expectation” for her to ever be able to read with her learning disability. For some time, Elle worked with tutors who would read to her, so that she could avoid reading herself. When this accommodation was no longer sufficient, Renee turned to LearningRx. Through her brain training program 10 years ago, Elle gained 4 years of reading skill! Now 17 years old, Elle is planning for college at St. Olaf in Minnesota and hoping to pursue theater and music. She knows without LearningRx, her life would be “very different.” If she weren’t able to read, Elle wouldn’t be able to memorize lines and act in a play and she wouldn’t be following her dream! Renee says she’s certain that Elle wouldn’t be going to college without LearningRx. Way to go, Elle! We are so proud of you! And GO OLES!
